Heights of a Sick Man

Where my disease escapes me
Where my sickness can't make me sweat
I find comfort in the thought of death
Where I come into my own
My physiology betrays me
So, to heal I need the solace of death
To heal, I need the solace of death
I am not safe
No matter the heights I demand
I am not safe
The highest of highs is the lowest of lows
I am not safe
Blood pools in the palm of a hand
I am not safe
I am not safe
To heal, I need the solace of death
To heal, I need the solace of death
Set up and knocked down
Desperate to name he who sets me back up
Dizzy with guilt
Contaminated by spirit
Contaminated by spirit
Contaminating my spirit
Sick man
Sophisticated animal
Suffering civilization
Go on, find some clouds
Find some clouds.

Declination towards a caliginous dominion
No longer able to fawn over an underside that pulsates subservience
Seek out the lacking and destroy all radiance
Improve, survive, and absorb the brilliance of all defeated makers
Then create the maker that destroys
Then, the solace of death
Only then will the torturesome malady cease its’ breathe
Only then will the torturesome malady cease its’ breathe
A holy insufflation that poisons naturally muddy waters
With the see through essence off all things pure
In darkness seek the cure.

Obscurity, sacrosanct and devouring the horizon
The celestial sphere has demanded that darkness rise
Darkness rise.
Mocking levity of the firmament
Manifesting as the stillness of chaos
Bellows from above
Blinding light from below
The illusion of choice vanquished by those it created
Words from the mouths of babes
Swallowed and spit up with the force of decay
Vomited out onto earth
Here stands heedlessness.

Of the submerged light and the radiant night that follows
A luminary born to the brightest age
So only an umbra remains
Wandering stars reeking with the rot of senescence
Effluviums of divagation clouding all fresh air
With the knowledge obtained from the radiant night
One can be both a wandering star and a man who dies without despair
What taught me how to submerge the light and to approach it with the caution of divination?
When did I learn to see the stars for what they are?
When I cast myself out from the womb of eternity and heedlessly approached their pithiness

Where the Sickness in the Sky Can Not Weigh One Down
Winds change
Waves crash into each other from opposing directions
There is sickness in the sky
And the depths below know only one direction
Down
Down
Weighted by an inner drought
Anchored by a need to drown
Winds change
Waves crash into each other from opposing directions
There is sickness in the sky
And the depths below know only one direction
Down
Down
Weighted by the land of doubt
Satisfy a need to drown
An abyss of fleeting knowledge
Sensory overload
The birth pangs of progress
And a filthy over lord
An abyss of fleeting knowledge
Sensory overload
Sensory overload
Never alone on my ocean
For I have found the shores of heedlessness
